Windows 2008:DNS:IPv6

Issue: DNS test fails in dcdiag /test:dns
Server Details:
2008 Enterprise : SP1
Services installed : Active Directory, DNS, File Services
Initially i had IPv6 enabled and then i removed it from the TCP/IP stack.
i re-registered dc specific records using nltest.
Still the dcdiag fails.
I tried to ping the FQDN of the dc : it gives replies from
Pinging DCert.recruit.local [::1] from ::1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from ::1: time=4ms
Reply from ::1: time=1ms
Reply from ::1: time=3ms
Reply from ::1: time<1ms
but nslookup resolves correct ip address.
I tried to search in DNS for the IPv6 records, there is none.
I have also removed the IPv6 entry from etc/hosts file. still issue persists!!!!

Solution

; Disable IPv6 over all interfaces and prefer IPv4 to IPv6
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip6\Parameters]
"DisabledComponents"=dword:000000ff
